Behind the Scenes with: Neil Krug

This weekend I styled Nathalie Kelley in a shoot with Neil Krug. It was such an honor to be a part of this dream team. A double rainbow greeted us as we arrived at the epic location. Neil's natural gifts as an artist were perfectly matched to Nathalie's stunning beauty. The talented Jennifer Ziliotto and Candice Birns worked make-up and hair magic. P⚫lka d⚫t Infinity

"A polka-dot has the form of the sun, which is a symbol of the energy of the whole world and our living life, and also the form of the moon, which is calm. Round, soft, colorful, senseless and unknowing. Polka-dots become movement...Polka dots are a way to infinity.-Yayoi Kusama."

Hallucinating and obsessive thoughts filled Yayoi Kusama's mind as a young child. One day after gazing at a pattern of red flowers on a tablecloth, she looked up at the ceiling, the windows, and the columns. They seemed to be plastered with the same red floral pattern. The entire room, her entire body, and the entire universe was covered with red flowers, and in that instant her soul was obliterated and restored, returned to infinity, to eternal time and absolute space. These visuals became art therapy which have helped her conquer phobias. Yayoi Kusama is truly one of the most inspiring artists to date. She has always stayed true to her vision. Below are some photographs of her earlier work from the 1960s to the most recent collaboration with Louis Vuitton.
